Monsoons are always a welcome change after the sweltering heat. It is a magical time of the year with the beautiful rains and cool weather. It is also a blessing for the farmers and their flora after the jarring summer. Who doesn’t love a perfect rainy day with some hot chocolate! The first shower of the season leavesus joyous, but it is also brings with it various infections and illness for kids. The moist and damp environment promotes infections to flourish, especially viral. So, we need to be really careful of the activities we undertake and the food we intake during this season. Students must be informed about the dos and don’ts of the monsoon season. They must be advised to wash hands before each meal or after touching anything outdoors, to wash their feet thoroughly after returning home. They should be asked to avoid food that is kept in open for too long, not to walk through clogged water areas and not to touch electric items with wet hands. Stop nail biting:

Some of us do have this bad habit of biting nails unconsciously. Nails should be well trimmed and keptshort so that there is no space for the bacteria to accumulate. On biting nails, the dirt often makes its way to the stomach and causes several diseases. If your child doesn’t stop biting nails, apply some neem on their nails and let it dry.
