Economics in Action

Learners of Grade X were introduced to the Latin phrase ‘Caveat Emptor’; Let the buyer be aware, during their ‘Economics in action’ session. Our budding Economists turned into investigators as they delved deeper into the history of global scams, and participated in a class competition- ‘A Tale of Scamsters’. It encouraged learners to ascertain facts by carrying out extensive research, identify discrepancies in financial accounting and also connect the curriculum concepts to real-world events. The case studies helped the learners to hone their investigative skills and unbox a viable career in the future of Forensic Accounting. The session fostered higher inquiry and analytical skills and also highlighted the importance of ‘being woke’ in today’s fast-paced world.
