Investiture Ceremony

“The Future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Theodore Roosevelt
The cool showers of morning of the 30th August 2019, brought with it an important day in the history of JBCN International School, Oshiwara. Our Learners Council Team was officially sworn in. The ceremonial air had filled the school weeks ahead of the finale, where our learners had elected the panel who would uphold the responsibilities of the Council for the on-going academic year 2019-2020.

The ceremony began with a warm and welcoming speech by the masters of ceremonies and was followed by a few words of inspiration from our Principal, Mr. K.V. Arjun Rao. Mr. Rao eloquently set the mood for the year ahead. His words motivated and encouraged all the learners present to note that “with great titles come great responsibilities” and the Council Members and Learners were encouraged to always remember that it is our choices and perception between right and wrong that define us far more than our abilities.

The musical band roused the spirits of all those present leading the taking of oath ceremonies. The inspiring speeches by the newly appointed Head Girl and Head Boy made the parents and faculty present here, realise just how far our Learners had come in terms of gaining a sense of accountability and the wisdom to lead their peers and the younger learners, who look up to them for inspiration. Their commitment towards their responsibilities was reflected in the Michelle Obama’s words, ‘If you are committed to doing what it takes, anything is possible. It’s up to you.’

The support and sympathy expressed towards those who hadn’t been elected was heartening as we realised that the most beautiful trait displayed by the Heads of our Learners Council, was a sense of moral responsibility and humility.

The JBCN Management along with the faculty congratulate the new Learner Council Members and wish them a year of success and joy as we take a step ahead beaming with pride and watch our Learners once again aim for the stars with determination and purpose gleaming in their eyes.
