IBDP Core

THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE (TOK)

The Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course is a key part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB Diploma Programme) that develops critical thinking and reflection on how knowledge is created, shared, and validated. Spanning at least 100 hours of class time, TOK challenges learners to explore the question "how do you know?" across different subjects and real-world contexts, nurturing curiosity and a lifelong interest in learning.

EXTENDED ESSAY (EE)

The extended essay (EE) is a mandatory, externally assessed research project of up to 4,000 words in the IB Diploma Programme. It requires independent investigation on a topic chosen by the learner and promotes high-level research skills, analytical writing, and intellectual development. Learners receive guidance from a supervisor and complete three reflection sessions, including a short interview, to evaluate their research process and personal growth.

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is an essential IB Diploma Programme component that fosters personal and academic growth through experiential learning. CAS includes three strands: creativity, activity, and service, which can involve single events or ongoing experiences. CAS projects are collaborative, sequential experiences lasting at least one month. Both individual and continuous activities are valued, but a well-rounded CAS programme requires at least one significant project.
