At JBCN International School, we believe that every learner deserves a personalised pathway to excellence. That’s why we go beyond conventional education by designing a Strategic Individual Excellence Plan (SIEP) tailored to each learner's strengths, aspirations, and learning style. This approach empowers our learners to consistently exceed global benchmarks — whether it’s in academic achievement, innovation, or university placements.
As Mumbai's most respected international school network, JBCN has built a legacy of excellence across five campuses — Borivali, Oshiwara, Parel, Chembur, and Mulund — impacting the lives of over 6,500 learners, guided by a passionate team of 850+ world-class educators.
Join a learning community that doesn’t just educate — it inspires vision, nurtures individuality, and empowers learners to become the changemakers of tomorrow.
A university placement record is the clearest evidence a school can offer of what happens after Grade 12. Marks show how a Learner performed in one examination cycle. A placement record shows where those marks, along with the essays, the references, and the guidance behind them, eventually led. For families weighing university placements in Borivali schools, few other measures reflect the whole arc of a child's school years rather than a single season.
The value sits in what the record implies about the school behind it. A consistent placement history usually points to three things.
Across Mumbai's western suburbs, families in Borivali, Kandivali, and Malad weigh these records closely when choosing a senior school.
Placement lists are not all read the same way. The useful ones are precise about the cohort and the year, and they show range instead of a handful of headline names.
A place at a highly selective university helps only if the course genuinely suits the Learner. Career guidance at Borivali treats course content, teaching style, campus size, and cost as part of the same decision.
The result is that an offer arriving in March is still one a Learner wants in August.
University and career guidance at Borivali runs through the in-house Careers Counselling Cell rather than an external consultant brought in for the application year. The programme begins in Grade 9, well ahead of the first application, and covers Indian and international pathways side by side. The aim is to help each Learner make informed academic and career choices, not simply to secure a seat somewhere.
Two formats run alongside each other through the year. Group sessions and workshops cover course offerings, career options, and the training different fields require. One-on-one meetings then turn all of that into a plan for the individual Learner.
The first stage is exploratory. Counsellors work with each Learner to open up career options, examine where their interests actually sit, and build on the strengths already showing in the classroom.
Findings feed straight into the decisions that follow, including the choice of board, subjects, course, and eventual career direction.
Subject choices made in Grade 11 close some university doors and open others, which is why counsellors are involved before those choices are made. Guidance covers Cambridge AS and A Level combinations at Borivali and how each maps against the courses a Learner is considering, in India and abroad.
Profile work runs in parallel. Counsellors help Learners build a record that reflects real interests through research, leadership roles, service projects, and sustained co-curricular commitment.
The final stage covers the mechanics of applying. Guidance spans college admissions in India and overseas, personal statements and essays, interview preparation, and coaching for national and international competitive entrance examinations.
Borivali has also hosted the IC3 Regional Forum in Mumbai, a full-day gathering on career and college counselling practice, which gives some sense of how the campus approaches this work.
| Stage | Typical Point | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Exploration | Middle school | Career options opened up, interests analysed, strengths identified through group sessions |
| Pathway planning | Grades 9 and 10 | Board and programme direction set, ICSE or Cambridge IGCSE, mapped against career interests |
| Subject selection | Grade 11 | Cambridge AS and A Level combinations chosen against target courses, profile work begins |
| Applications | Grade 12 | Essays, references, entrance examinations, interviews, offer decisions |

Several Learners in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics pathways received merit-based and Presidential scholarships from globally ranked institutions, particularly across the United States.
A fuller account of the year sits in the Class of 2026 placement results, covering offers, scholarships, and course choices across the campuses.
Every one of these placements started with a family walking through the gates and asking questions. Our counselling team is happy to talk through what a pathway from middle school to a university offer could look like for your child, whichever direction their strengths point.
Walk the campus with us, meet the people who would guide that journey, and see how the admission process at Borivali works.

The career counselling programme begins in Grade 9, so Learners are guided on strengths and interests well before subject choices are made. Personalised mentoring and aptitude work continue through the secondary years into Grades 11 and 12.
Offers have come from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, India, and countries across Asia and Europe. The Class of 2026 placement season across the Borivali, Parel, and Oshiwara campuses reached more than 20 countries.
Offers across the Borivali, Parel, and Oshiwara campuses for the Class of 2026 included Imperial College London, University College London, the London School of Economics, UC Berkeley, UCLA, the University of Toronto, King's College London, Purdue University, and Ashoka University.
Counsellors support Learners through application strategy, personal statements and essays, and interview preparation, alongside coaching for national and international competitive entrance examinations. Work on the underlying profile, including research, leadership, and service, begins years before the applications themselves.
