A proud moment for our school community, and a testament to what dedicated students can achieve with the right guidance.
We are delighted to share that Aarav Lele, one of JBCN's High Achieving Learners (HAL), has secured admission to the Discrete Mathematics course at the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes (Stanford SI) 2026, a globally recognised, highly selective academic program run by Stanford University.
With an acceptance rate of just 5–8%, this is a remarkable achievement that reflects both Aarav's intellectual drive and the strength of JBCN's commitment to nurturing students who are ready to compete on the world stage.
About Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes
The Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes is a prestigious online summer program open to students in grades 8–11 across the world. Hosted by Stanford University, it offers over 55 intensive, single-subject courses spanning STEM, humanities, business, and the arts, taught in small, live, discussion-based classes by expert instructors.
In 2026, the program runs across two sessions, June 15–26 and July 6–17, with each student immersing themselves in one focused area of study. Admission is selective and competitive, making acceptance a meaningful academic credential for any pre-college student.
Aarav's Journey: Preparation Meets Opportunity
Aarav's admission didn't happen by chance. As part of JBCN's High Achieving Learner (HAL) cohort, he has consistently engaged with the school's career counselling and profile-building initiatives, approaching his academic future with clarity and intent well before this application season.
His profile, built steadily over time, told a compelling story: a student with genuine intellectual curiosity, a passion for mathematics, and the maturity to pursue university-level learning while still in school.
That is precisely what Stanford SI looks for, and Aarav delivered.
The JBCN Difference: Mentoring That Goes Beyond the Classroom
At JBCN, we believe that exceptional students deserve exceptional support. Our counselling team worked closely with Aarav, helping him identify the right opportunity, shape his application, and present his candidature in the most authentic and compelling way possible.
This achievement is as much a team effort as it is an individual one.
It reflects our school-wide commitment to holistic education, one where academic excellence is matched by purposeful guidance, and where every High Achieving Learner is given the tools, direction, and encouragement to reach their fullest potential.
A Message to Our School Community
Aarav's story is an inspiration, not just for our HAL students, but for every learner at JBCN who dares to set ambitious goals.
Programs like Stanford SI are within reach. The key is starting early, staying consistent, and having the courage to pursue what excites you academically.
