The Primary School Curriculum is based on eight areas of learning which converge towards our Mind Body Soul programme.

JBCN International School, Parel is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School authorised to implement the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high-quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.*

The PYP offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding and provides engaging, relevant, challenging, and significant education. It is a learner-centred approach to education for children and reflects the best of educational research, thought leadership and experience derived from IB World Schools.

The programme offered in the Primary Years focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in school and in the world beyond. With an equal emphasis on developing knowledge, skills and IB ‘Learner Profile’ attributes, the programme is designed to empower learners to take ownership of their learning and become active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.
